Aerial Performance
In this regenerative art piece, Dara narrates the story of the Tree of Life, inviting the audience to rethink eternity as transformation. The entire costume was made from materials from the land, which were later returned and turned into compost. Poe-tree explores the concepts of taking space, surrendering, and tree guardianship. Created in collaboration with Eternal Forest, it was performed at Synesthesia 2024 and Gathering of Tribes 2024.

In the dictionary, Synesthesia is described as a merging of senses, where one sensation leads to the experience of another. But for me, after attending and performing at Synesthesia Festival, it’s so much more than that. It’s a space where art, nature, and human connection blend together into something transformative and magical.
I had such a special time at the festival, surrounded by creative souls and the energy of the land. And for the first time, I got to perform Poe-tree, an aerial piece that tells the story of the Tree of Life. It was such a meaningful experience, not only because of the performance but because everything—from the costume to the space itself—became a part of the regenerative cycle. The materials for my costume came from the earth, and after the performance, they were returned to the earth as compost, closing the loop of creation.
Synesthesia gave me the opportunity to connect with an incredible community and to share my work in a way that feels deeply aligned with my values of transformation and regeneration. I can’t wait to share more about this beautiful journey with you.
